Another day of River Cleaning and Preparation for the New Kayak Treks in the Osa Peninsula

Re-opening an Ancient Water-trail abandoned for decades is an hard work….but somebody has to do it…

One more time the whole crew of Wild Trails Adventures had a  long beautiful day of work in the most interesting area of the whole Osa Peninsula…the Sierpe River Basin….

Early in the morning half of the crew with the necessary equipment crossed the Northern Ridge of the Golfo Dulce and descended in the Sierpe Valley, enjoying the first light of the day dispersing the fog-clouds produced by the dense forest of the hillsides.

After meeting the other half of the Crew at Sierpe Town …the Adventure begun with a  boat ride along the Green Emerald River that reflect the Immense Leaves of the Raphia taedigera Wetland Forest….

…and meeting a lot of Bird that populate these quiet Wetland Forests….

…the Wild Trails Adventures crew start his hard work of river cleaning, removing drift wood barriers that had been growing during the last years, making the navigation of the river, almost impossible….
