Kayaking along a Recently re-opened Water Trail, part of the Wild Trails Adventures Exciting New Treks

This beautiful Exclusive New Trek is a very recent achievement of Wild Trails Adventures that could connect our desire to develop alternative trails for our Guests, with the need of a small local community to improve their incomes, actually based on small scale farming and cattle breeding.

So we talked with some young components of this Community, which is out of the main touristic and commercial routes, about our approach to Alternative Trekking in the Region and we found a way for to make our project feasible and exciting.

Some of the Community inhabitants, provided the labor and skill for to remove many, many obstacles along the small river that runs across farms and wetlands, obstacles that had been formed in the last decade, from the moment that Locals abandoned the habit to descend to the main village of the valley, using the classic small pirogues, carved directly for the log of some tree of the forest.

So we just did our first Test Expedition and what we had the luck to observe here is something really impressive...the fact that for a long time nobody ever used this way, made of it,  and the land along the banks, a natural Wildlife reserve, where Birds, Reptiles and Mammals  reproduced undisturbed.

We made an agreement wit a local Family that own a land where a small creek forms a waterfall, for to have a space where to camp,  and a trail in the Forest for a Night Tour, and find, at the return to the Farm House, a traditional dinner prepared by the same Family.

The beginning of the Trek is scheduled for the very early morning, for to have the chance to observe the Nature along the River, with the morning golden light, so special for great Photography, and having all the time for to stop here and there along the way for a snack, or for to go to observe some special point, a little apart from the banks.

After a six hour of quiet paddling the Trekkers arrive in the Sierpe Village, from where they can continue the adventure with a second day of kayaking in the biggest Mangrove Swamp of the Country, return to PJ with the Support vehicle or continue their own Journey.

From Sierpe, it is possible, for the Trekkers,  to join a scheduled  edition of the Corcovado Ring Adventure, or just continue with the remaining 8 days of the Full Game Trek, in a Personalized Edition of this Unique Adventure Trek.
